Cornerstone Junior Schools follow the Uganda Primary School Thematic Curriculum. The school has designed an exclusive Nursery Curriculum, which ensures effective and interesting learning for the young ones.
The Director, Headteacher, Director’s Special Assistant, Deputy Academics and Directors of Studies for the primary and Nursery sections, oversee academics in the school. These have the responsibility of organizing, monitoring and implementing school Academic programs. They do this together with the Heads of Department (HOD), class teachers and heads of section.
The school regularly organizes capacity building seminars and workshops aimed at enhancing the quality of teaching by teachers. The themes of the seminars vary; but the focus is placed on methods of teaching
specific subjects, assessment, subject content etc. Internal seminars are regularly arranged by heads of departments, focusing on teaching problematic parts of the syllabus. External facilitators from Green Hill Academy, Gayaza Junior School, and other prominent schools are usually invited to share experiences and ideas with the teachers.
Through these seminars, teachers are equipped with relevant technical skills for the proper handling and imparting of knowledge and practical skills to our learners. These seminars and workshops have greatly developed our human resource base. Cornerstone will continue to search for new ways for ensuring quality education.
